Thank you Mattias
It was a pleasure teaching all of you from the youngest to the oldest. Knowledge is to be shared my friend, and the study of martial arts and budo have a great way of bridging the gap between nationalities. I have traveled to your area of Germany many time in the past but the last 5 years have been difficult due to lifes problems at home. I now intend to make a point of visiting regularly as Michael, Eva, and a few other people are very close friends so i am sure you will see me in 2011 :). My dojo is in Kent, England and you are more than welcome to visit anytime you wish. Please say "Hi" and give my best regards to Ollie, Markus, and anyone the knows me when you are next at the dojo. Take good care. Your friend in Budo, Dave

Dear David,
thank you for your comment, I really appreciate that!
I still agree with you that humor is the best way to brigde the gap between different languages, and I think that everybody in our dojo enjoyed the time with such a skilled instructor like you are. For me, it was a great honour and a wonderful experience to learn from you and hopefully I will be able to see you again next year - either in the Sui Getsu Dojo or in your own dojo in Scotland :)

Dear Matthias
It was indeed a very special budo day and it was great for me to catch up with my old friends Michael & Hans, and make new friends along the way. Also there were several people at the seminar who I had taught before and it was great to train and spend time with them all again. I am so pleased that you found Hans Spaan & my instruction enjoyable. Oliver Stauch sensei did an amazing job as my uke and was a great help also during my sessions with the children, and cannot thank him enough for his time and support on Thursday evening and all day Saturday. Also what Hans and I said about the two little boys (Cedric Grima & Ron Finke) was straight from the heart. These little boys trained like true men, true warriors. Nico Makowsky had a private hours tuition with me on Thursday evening and was fantastic at picking up all the complicated movements and techniques that I showed him and moved with great fluidity, his concentration and respect was truly outstanding for such a young man. And yes, I agree that my instruction was hard, to the point, and at time humorous. I think that if I cannot get my point across verbally due to the language barrier then action and humour speak loader than words and hopefully though the humour within a very serious subject the partici-pants may remember some of the movements and techniques. So my friend, All in all a great 5 days spent with true budoka and friends in a beautiful part of Germany that I have visited many times over the year and hold close to my heart for many reasons. Hopefully I will return next year. You should be very honoured to have such a great and passionate instructor such as Michael, I know he is proud of all you guys
